Meeting with Ye Lina, Deputy Director of Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce

On 15th December, the European Chamber Vice President and Southwest China Board Chair, Mr. Massimo Bagnasco had a meeting with Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce Deputy Director, Ye Lina.
Deputy Director Ye Lina expressed congrats and welcome to the new board election, mentioned about a follow-up of the previous meeting with Secretary General of Chongqing Municipal Party Committee Yuan Jiajun, and introduced the main development directions that Chongqing has put large efforts to establish.
Mr. Massimo Bagnasco remarked the solid cooperation with Chongqing Commission of Commerce and expressed appreciation for the work done to assist foreign invested enterprises in Chongqing, especially for the member companies of European Chamber. He also mentioned about the 24th EU-China Summit and emphasized the genuine meaning of “de-risking” strategy, the importance of a level playing field between foreign and domestic enterprises, the mutual carbon neutrality goal. In addition, He also raised questions about the unclarity of Chongqing Chengdu Twin Cities Economic Circle, the policy’s developments to support EU SMEs, the contract payment issue for foreign companies, the policy to attract and retain talents.
Deputy Director Ye Lina confirmed to Mr. Bagnasco that she took careful note of all the topics and concerns and she promptly assigned the tasks to staffs accordingly. Finally she thanks the European Chamber delegation again.
