South China Board Chairman Attending 2024 CCPIT Spring Festival Reception in Hong Kong

On February 26th, Klaus Zenkel, Vice President of the European Chamber and Chairman of the South China Board, was invited to participate in the 2024 CCPIT Spring Festival Reception in Hong Kong.

During the event, Mr. Klaus Zenkel engaged in discussions with Mr. Chen Xiaofeng, President of CCPIT Guangdong, focusing on the investment and operational activities of European Chamber members within the Great Bay Area (GBA), emphasizing the importance of mutual growth with the region. Mr. Zenkel also highlighted the European Chamber's recent Business Confidence Survey, aimed at gauging members' confidence in China and the GBA. The survey's findings, to be released in May, will provide valuable insights and recommendations to the government. Their conversation delved into insightful perspectives on development opportunities within the GBA and strategies to enhance coordination among its constituent cities to reshape the Chinese industrial chain.

In his address, Mr. Chen Xiaofeng, President of CCPIT Guangdong, underscored the significance of advancing the high-quality development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, expressing confidence in its future prospects.

The event drew participation from over 300 representatives from various government departments, key chambers of commerce, and business sectors in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, underscoring a collective commitment to fostering regional cooperation and development.
