CDMD GA Subgroup Meeting with the Pricing Bureau of Shandong Province

2015-01-07 | All chapters

One service item with identical pricing may apply to different methods of treatment. The rationale is that service items and pricing shall be determined by the outcome of the treatment. Different treatment methods may compete with each other.

Hospitals will be allowed to determine prices for services that are not strictly medical, e.g. cosmetic surgery.

Hospitals can apply for a temporary price of new service items at the Provincial Pricing Bureau.

The Pricing Bureau has a pool of medical experts who have the qualification to decide about pricing of medical services. Involvement of the industry is welcome.
