European Chamber President Meets Shenzhen Party Secretary Meng Fanli

On 16th April, a European Chamber delegation led by President Jens Eskelund met with Shenzhen Party Secretary Meng Fanli and other local leaders.
Eskelund presented the Chamber’s Position Paper2023/2024, and discussed issues including business confidence, the implementation of tax incentives for foreign nationals, the green energy transition, innovation and digitalisation.
Eskelund emphasised the pivotal role of consistency in incentives and transparency in policy implementation. He also expressed the potential for deeper cooperation between the European Union (EU) and China in sustainable development. In addition, Eskelund highlighted issues such as talent shortages in engineering and research and development, as well as the need for more clarity in cross-border data transfer policies.
