Data Export Security Compliance Policy Interpretation Meeting

Beijing Municipal Commerce Bureau and Beijing Cybersecurity Administration jointly held an interpretation meeting on data export security compliance policy on 18th April. At the meeting, deputy directors from the Cybersecurity Administration of China and Beijing Cybersecurity Administration shared China's and Beijing's situation, policies, and new regulations on the cross-border data flow. Member companies asked questions about the understanding of the new cross-border data transfer regulations and received explanations and clarifications. Jessica Yuan, representing the Chamber and the Healthcare Equipment Working Group and Xiaowen Ma, Chair of Cybersecurity Sub-working Group seized the opportunity of the Beijing Cyberspace Administration's initiative to unblock data compliance outbound channel services and proposed that the European Chamber in China could cooperate with the Cybersecurity Administration to carry out policy publicity and interpretation by industry and field.
