Vice President of the European Chamber Meets with Guangdong Governor

On June 19, Mr Klaus Zenkel, Vice President of the European Chamber and Chair of the South China Board, participated in the 2024 Conference for Economic and Trade Cooperation between the Pearl River Delta and the Eastern-Western and Northern Regions of Guangdong Province. During the VIP meeting before the conference, he met with Mr Wang Weizhong, the Guangdong Governor, and Mr Zhang Xin, the Guangdong Vice Governor.

Mr Zenkel introduced the Business Confidence Survey 2024 report and highlighted key data concerning the European members in South China. He expressed gratitude to the Guangdong government for its valuable assistance in addressing the challenges faced by European companies, particularly in areas such as the Greater Bay Area Preferential Individual Income Tax, Green Energy, and Green Certificates.

Governor Wang Weizhong thanked the European Chamber for its active role in fostering trade and investment between China and European companies. He conveyed a strong willingness to continue collaborating with the Chamber to better support the development of European companies in the region.
