On February 2, Shanghai Development and Reform Commission (DRC) invited representatives of seven companies and EUCCC (Shanghai) to give comments on CSPFTZ trade regulation innovation. The European Chamber was the only foreign chamber invited for this event. Yin Fei, Director of Economic Trade Department of Shanghai DRC, chaired the seminar. Tao Guibao, Deputy Director of Economic Development Bureau of CSPFTZ and Shang Junsong, Deputy Director of Port Clearance Division of Shanghai Municipal Office for Port Services joined the discussion. According to Yin, the local authorities were eager to have corporate’s feedback on CSPFTZ policy innovation and areas for further improvement so the successful policies and experience could be duplicated elsewhere. Although participants were from different sectors, they all agreed and strongly suggested that a coordination mechanism among different government departments be built as soon as possible so that policies could be well implemented. After the seminar, EUCCC (Shanghai) AFB Working Group Chair Susan Chen and Senior Government Affairs Manager Helei Fu presented the DRC official with the latest national and Shanghai Position Papers and Business Confidence Survey.
