Working level meeting with Guangdong Environmental Protection Bureau

Members of European Chamber met with the representatives of the Department of Environmental Protection of Guangdong Province on March 10th in Guangzhou. During this meeting, we discussed the new environmental protection law, recent policies and future developments of environmental protection in Guangdong province.
According to the Department of Environmental Protection the volume of investments on environmental protection by Guangdong government is significant and accounts for 2.3 percent to 2.5 percent of Guangdong GDP. The meeting concluded with the handover of the European Business in China Position Paper 2014/2015 by Mr. Yushun Wong, Board Member and Ms. Zhang Lei, Environment Working Group Vice Chair to Mr. Zhiguang Li, Head of Publicity & Education and Exchanges & Cooperation Division of Guangdong Environmental Protection Bureau.
