Exclusive Roundtable with Shanghai DRC on the 13th Five-year-plan

On April 20, EUCCC (Shanghai) General Manager Ioana Kraft and Senior Government Affairs Manager Helei Fu were invited to attend an exclusive roundtable on the 13th Five-year-plan hosted by Shanghai Development and Reform Commission (DRC). Participants included local think-tanks, business consultants, economists and officials of national and provincial DRCs. Qiu Xiuhu, Deputy Director of Department of Development Planning of NDRC, introduced the participants that the 13th FYP aimed to outline national strategies to support stable and sustainable economic growth, industry upgrade and development of service sector. The Plan would be reviewed and passed by National People’s Congress in March 2016. EUCCC General Manager Ioana Kraft shared with DRC officials the Shanghai Position Paper and results of Business Confidence Survey with an emphasis on issues of Foreign Investment Law Draft, environment and food safety, Internet access, innovation and talent attraction and how these issues would affect foreign business operation in China, Shanghai’s goal in transforming the city into a global sci-tech innovation center and China’s further development and opening-up.
