Read more2018 China-Europe Rountable Dialogue with MOHURD on Timber Structure
In the past decade, multi-storey and high-rise timber structure has been promoted and applied across the world, particularly in Sweden, Austria, Norway, Finland, UK, and Canada through policies and various construction projects. In addition, for the purpose of development green economy and realise the goals of carbon reduction, the MOHURD has been promoting the application of building energy-saving technology, among which timber construction is highlighted through several national mandatory standards. The following years will witness more timber structures to be constructed both in China and other countries. This dialogue aims to get better understanding on policies, market status and technologies for timber structures in both China and Europe as well as facilitate international cooperation on wood constructions.

Meeting with China Council of the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) on Issues faced by French-owned Enterprises in China
A delegation from China Council of the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) visited the European Chamber and met with several French-owned member companies at Chamber office. As introduced by CCPIT, 2018 China-France High Level Economic and Financial Dialogue was to take place in France in early December. Vice Premier Hu Chunhua was going to Paris to attend the event. Before his visit, CCPIT was assigned to collect concerns and suggestions from French-owned enterprises in China, which was the purpose of this meeting.
