On 23rd September, the European Chamber hosted a meeting with Sha Hailin, President of the Shanghai Public Relations Association.
Jens Ewert, Vice Chairman of the Shanghai Chapter Board, delivered the welcome speech, outlining the challenges faced by European businesses in China, including slowing profit growth, rising business risks, and increased operational costs. Roberto Dona, Shanghai Chapter Board Member, and Steven Basart, General Manager of the European Chamber Shanghai Chapter, reinforced these concerns, drawing insights from the Business Confidence Survey 2024.
In response, Mr. Sha Hailin acknowledged the significant contributions of European companies to Shanghai and expressed a commitment to strengthening future collaboration with the Chamber.
