On 7th June in Brussels, European Chamber President Jörg Wuttke met with Cecilia Malmström, European trade commissioner, to discuss the impact of the US-China trade war. He also introduced his program as new president of the European Chamber to the commissioner. President Wuttke also met with Jyrki Katainen, vice president (VP), European Commission, and talked about the EU-China Summit and its conclusions. President Wuttke also outlined China’s business social credit system to VP Katainen.

Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province met with Chamber Vice President and South China Chair Mr. George Lau and Vice Chair Mr.Chee Keong Lai on June 4th to understand more about the key recommendations presented in the South China Position 2019/2020. Policies of Greater Bay Area and the China-US trade conflicts were also discussed during the meeting.

On 24 May 2019, the European Chamber's Heating Sub-Working Group coordinator Ms Lizi Chen had a telephone meeting with the representatives from the Full Decoration Council at China Real Estate Chamber of Commerce (CRECC). Ms Zhongli Chen, the Secretary General of the Full Decoration Council and Mr Zheng Liu, the Vice Secretary General of the Full Decoration Council attended this telephone meeting.
