DDG of Tianjin Commerce Bureau He Zhineng Delivered an Opening Speech at 3rd Football Tournament of Tianjin Chapter
On 10 June 2023, He Zhineng, Deputy Director General of Tianjin Commerce Bureau participated in the opening of Tianjin Chapter 3rd Football Tournament and delivered a speech. He recognized the important role of the European Chamber for the local business environment and highlighted the positive spirits brought by the community activities organized by the Tianjin Chapter. Dr. Christoph Schrempp, Chair of Tianjin Chapter and Mr. Bernd Averes, Vice Chair of Tianjin Chapter, Ms. Catherine Guo, General Manager of Tianjin Chapter participated the opening ceremony.

On 20th and 21st April, European Chamber President Jörg Wuttke and Vice President (VP) Carlo D'Andrea led a business delegation to visit Qingdao, Shandong Province. The delegation met with government officials including Mr Lu Zhiyuan, deputy party secretary of Shandong Province and party secretary of Qingdao, Mr Zhao Haozhi, mayor of Qingdao, and Mr Zhao Shengcun, vice mayor of Qingdao. On March 10th, the Tianjin Chapter of the European Chamber launched its 2nd edition of Local Position Paper 2023/2024 at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Tianjin. Dr. Christoph Schrempp, the Chair of the Tianjin Chapter briefed the 4 key recommendation areas in detail to the audience. The paper were well received by the Tianjin authorities.
A delegation of the Tianjin Municipal People's Government physically attended the launch event. The delegation consists of working level officials of Environment, Low Carbon Division of Tianjin Development and Reform Commission, Europe-Africa Division of Tianjin Foreign Affairs Office, Cooperation and Exchange Department of Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, Investment Promotion Department of CCPIT Tianjin Branch and Industrial Zone Association.

Mr. Harald Kumpfert, Vice Chair of European Chamber Shenyang Chapter (hereinafter referred to as European Chamber) and Mr. Leo Liu, Office Manager of European Chamber was invited to participate 2023 Exchange Conference of Overseas (Regions) Organizations for Promotion of the International Trade by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Dalian on March 3rd 2023, exchanging ideas together with Dalian local government officials as well as representatives from foreign affair offices and trade promotion organizations of Netherlands, US, Australia, Korea, Japan and Singapore etc.
