Following the China National Institute of Standardization(CNIS)’s call for comments on the National Standard for Consumer Product Recall Electronics and Electrical Appliances Risk Assessment, and upon circulation of the draft within relevant working groups, the European Chamber has collated all member inputs and submitted to CNIS.

On 11th January, a European Chamber delegation was invited to attend a symposium organised by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT). CCPIT Director Yang Ting and Director Zheng Wei welcomed the attendees and expressed appreciation for the European Chamber's responses to their questionnaire about China's business environment. At the meeting, members from Legal and Competition Working Group and Government Affairs Forum put forward recommendations on how to improve the Foreign Investment Law (Draft) and China's business environment.
