On 19th September, the European Chamber was invited to participate in a thematic roundtable on large-scale equipment renewal and consumer goods trade-ins in the recycling of renewable resources and education sector. The event was organised by the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce as a follow-up to the Vice Mayor's roundtable held on 7th August.
Liu Ping, Deputy Secretary General of the Municipal Government, attended the meeting and delivered a speech, along with five municipal departments, including the Municipal Commission of Commerce, Shanghai Water Authority, the Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment, Shanghai Landscaping and City Appearance Administrative Bureau, Shanghai Economy and Information Technology Commission, Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, Shanghai Municipal Tax Service, and six District Commissions of Commerce.
PCR and Environment Working Group Met with Netherlands Delegation on Green Chemistry and Circular Plastics Mission
On 7th September, the Environment Working Group and Petrochemicals, Chemicals, and Refining (PCR) Working Group attended the kick-off session of the Netherlands Green Chemistry and Circular Plastics Mission in Shanghai. PCR Working Group Chair Mr Justin Zhang and Environment Working Group Chair Mr Jet Chang both presented to the mission delegation the current business and regulatory situation regarding green chemistry and plastic recycling.
