On 23rd October, State Council Research Office hosted a meeting. European Chamber of Commerce in China and representatives of certain companies attended the meeting. State Council Research Office welcomed attendees and expected honest and open suggestions on how to improve FIE’s (foreign-invested enterprise) business environment in China.

On 17th October, representatives from the European Chamber’s Human Resources Working Group met with the Shanghai Secretary General of the Center for China and Globalization, Ms. Mary Ma, to discuss their ongoing project on China’s national immigration policy, funded by the National Immigration Office. During the meeting, the working group has outlined the members' current concerns regarding China’s visa and work permit policies.
