On 20th May, European Chamber Vice President Bettina Schoen and General Manager of Shanghai Chapter Dr. Ioana Kraft together with more than 20-member company representatives had a roundtable with Deputy Director General Zhu Yi of Shanghai Commission of Commerce (SCOFCOM). The meeting also joined by various government departments including Shanghai Development and Reform Commission, Shanghai Economy and Information Technology Commission, Shanghai Human Resource and Social Security Bureau, Shanghai Finance Bureau, Pudong District Government and Minhang District Government.

The European Chamber Tianjin Chapter had a meeting with Tianjin Power Exchange Center on local green electricity transaction progress made since July 2021 and an outlook for 2022 on May 18th 2022. It was the second meeting with Tianjin Power Exchange Center since Aug. 2021.
12 participants from 9 companies took part in, most of which were presented at the first meeting including Airbus, Novo Nordisk, Novozymes, Umicore. Additionally, NNIT, Turck and Regina were the first time to show their interest. While Tianjin local green electricity transaction process is going forward to a clearer stage, manufacturing members showed stronger interest to access local green electricity in the second half of 2022.

On 17th May 2022, European Chamber Shanghai Chapter held an online meeting with Mr. Chen Jing, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of Shanghai Municipal People Congress, Chairman of Shanghai People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (SPAFFC). Dr. Ioana Kraft, General Manager of European Chamber Shanghai Chapter introduced the Chamber and addressed pressing issues encountered by members during the COVID-19 outbreak in Shanghai to Mr. Chen.
