Energy WG Meeting with National Energy Administration (NEA) on Green Electricity Certificates and Green Power Trading
On 13th March, the National Energy Administration (NEA) invited European Chamber Energy Working Group (WG) representatives, a few foreign companies and research institutes to a closed-door meeting with 5 departments (New Energy, International Cooperation, Legislations and Reforms, Development and Planning, Science and Technology, Safety Supervision) of the NEA to discuss the participation of foreign enterprises in Green Electricity Certificates (GEC) and green power trading. The meeting was hosted by Pan Huimin, Deputy Director of the New Energy Department.

The HCE Working Group provided feedback on MIIT's proposals for safety and general specifications for lithium-ion cells and batteries in portable medical devices. They sought clarification on compliance for manufacturers sourcing batteries externally and requested detail on standard requirements for manufacturers and suppliers. They also suggested aligning the proposed standard with existing ones like IEC62620 and recommended revising ambiguous text for clarity.
