On 19th September, the European Chamber led a delegation of 13 representatives to attend the International Forum on Ultra-low Energy Buildings in Xiongan New Area 2018. The forum was hosted by the Xiongan New Area Administrative Committee, Baoding Municipal Government, Hebei Provincial Department of Environmental Protection, Hebei Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-rural Development and the Architectural Society of China.

The 14. International Medical Device Regulatory Forum (IMDRF) stakeholder forum was organised by the Chinese National Medical Products Administration (NMPA). Representatives of the regulatory bodies of the world main economies, working groups of the IMDRF, the World Health Organization (WHO) and industry associations (including the Chamber's partner organisation Global Diagnostic Imaging, Healthcare ICT, and Radiation Therapy Trade Association (DITTA) presented their work.

Commissioner Carlos Moedas was in China from the 17th – 20th September to attend bilateral meetings and the Tianjin Summer Davos. As part of this programme, Commissioner Moedas and a small European Delegation had a lunch briefing with the European Chamber’s Advisory Council to receive some industry input in preparation for a subsequent afternoon meeting with Minister Wang Zhigang of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
