European Chamber Launches OECD’s China Economic Survey 2013

The Secretary General of OECD, Mr Angel Gurria, summarised some of their key findings, before taking questions from the audience. See photos from the event here in the Image Gallery (photos courtesy of AmCham).

During the presentation of this bi-yearly report Mr Gurria introduced the major economic challenges facing China, including how to achieve continued rapid growth that would make China a “moderately prosperous society” by 2020. Mr Gurria noted that this goal is “not beyond reach, particularly when the reforms in a number of key areas are implemented—if urbanisation turns more inclusive and growth becomes progressively greener.”
