European Union Chamber of Commerce in China Southwest Chapter held its 2013 Annual General Meeting successfully on April 17, 2013. The event was joined by Mr. Adam Dunnett, Secretary General from Beijing chapter who oversaw the election. The meeting was also attended by over 70 representatives from member companies and the Consul General of France in Chengdu.

Former Chairman Mr. Paul Sives reviewed achievements in 2012: EUCCCSWC has consolidated a platform for exchanges and communication and further expanded cooperation through meetings with mayors, investment promotion commissions and logistics offices. Mr. Ulrich O. Birch, former Chongqing Representative, Senior Consultant of Consenec Ltd. (ABB Group) was elected as the new Chairman. He expressed that efforts will be made to continue strengthening communications and cooperation between the Chamber and its members and will make contributions to promote a common progress. Mr. Adam Dunnett spoke highly of the achievements made by EUCCCSWC last year and pressed high hope for the long-term development.

Mr. Paul Sives, GM of Proton Products Chengdu Ltd., Mr. Frank Stefan Gottwald, CFO of Siemens Electrical Apparatus Ltd., Suzhou - Chengdu Branch, Mr. Fan Xiaowen, GM of Willis Insurance Brokers Co., Ltd., and Ms. Ling Yan, Senior Manager of KPMG Huazhen (SGP) were elected as Southwest Chapter Board Members. Mr. Jan Urban, Branch Manager of Crown Worldwide (China) Co., Ltd. Chengdu Branch was voted as Southwest Chapter Chongqing Representative.
