Better use of Social Media in China

Companies using social media is still nascent and the landscape is changing rapidly. Companies in China now understand that they must leverage this useful tool and raise their social media presence by using microblogs to spread their brand awareness. Phoebe Li, Head of Communications, Asia Region, Celanese, shared her experiences regarding internal communication, including code of conduct for staff. Cecilia Wu, Senior Consultant, L’Atelier (BNP Paribas), focused on the trends and evolution in China and in particular on the proper use of social media during crisis management, including how to handle consumers’ complains.
