Industrial Design in China

On 7th May, the European Chamber invited speakers to present about Industrial Design in China.

China is more than a fast growing market nowadays. It is a market with many sophisticated challenges regarding industrial design. Redesigning a product is a very complex process; however, without industrial designs that satisfy the Chinese demands, foreign companies will not succeed in China.

Yvon Donval, China General Manager of BearingPoint, and Franc Kaiser, Partner at InterChina Consulting, described how the Chinese market has developed and matured and which challenges European companies still face. Lars Falk, Vice President Product Design of Volvo Cars, described how the company adapted to the Chinese market but manages to keep its specific tradition.
