Urbanisation Series: Impact of China’s Environmental Regulations on Foreign Business

Supported by DUSA, the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in China and AustCham Shanghai, the European Chamber held a half-day conference on environmental law, specifically the impact of China’s environmental regulations on foreign business.

The diversity of speakers explored exactly how and to what extent China’s current environmental policies impact foreign business. Speakers included Adam M. Kushner, Former Director, Air Enforcement Division, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Partner, Hogan Lovells Washington, D.C., Thomas Shao, Senior Policy Adviser, Evonik, Huang Cheng, Vice-Director, Atmospheric Environmental Institute, Shanghai Academy of Environmental Sciences, and Louie Cheng, Founder and President, PureLiving China. Francois Jenny, Chair, Environment Working Group, European Chamber, moderated the event, which was sponsored by Hogan Lovells.
