The European Chamber in Shanghai was honoured to host Mr. Jian Danian, Vice Governor of Pudong New Area People’s Government, at a seminar on 4th of June. With more than 100 members and representatives of the EU Consulates General in Shanghai, Mr. Jian gave a comprehensive rundown of the expansion of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone.

In addition, Cao Lei, Deputy Director of Investment Promotion and Regulation Department of Pudong Commerce Commission, presented the Pudong Investment Policy, based on questions of members of the European Chamber. The floor was then opened to an intensive Q&A session, during which members of the audience were able to ask questions directly about specific policies. Next to Cao Lei, representatives from Pudong Financial Service Bureau, CSPFTZ Administration, Bank of China and Pudong Sci-Tech Commission joined the panel discussion.
