Human Capital Conference 2015

One of the overarching themes discussed through the morning was that slower economic growth was putting the squeeze on HR, with management asking HR departments to do more with less. In light of this increased responsibility HR professionals were being asked to perform an increasingly operational and strategic function, not just an administrative function.

CEO’s and HR leaders discussed and debated topics including; talent management, mobility, innovation, managing ‘millenials’ and diversity. Participants, the majority of whom were fellow HR practitioners, actively engaged with the speakers by raising questions and sharing experiences during the Q&A sessions.  The interactive nature of the Conference was highlighted in the concluding panel, where the audience and speakers engaged in an open discussion on how their companies are implementing diversity practices, and why this is so vital to develop an engaged and innovative workforce.
