Over the last week, Shanghai Authorities brought into force new quarantine restrictions on all international travelers coming into the two cities.

Shanghai still manages immigration based on a high-risk country list which has been extended over the last weeks and currently includes 16 countries (South Korea, Italy, Iran, Japan, France, Spain, Germany, United States, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Sweden, Belgium, Norway, Netherlands, Denmark, Austria). Today stricter quarantine measures including requiring passengers arriving from high-risk countries to undergo nucleic acid tests if they meet the requirements and choose home quarantine and for those quarantined at designated sites to cover the cost for accommodation and meals were announced (link).
