Jointly organized by European Chamber Shenyang Chapter (hereinafter referred to as Shenyang Chapter) and State Power Investment Group Northeast Power Development Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as SPIC), a seminar theming on “Situation Analysis of Power Market and Demand Exchange in Liaoning Province” was successfully held on the morning of August 18^th, 2023.  

Led by Mr. Zhizhou LI, Vice Director of SPIC, a delegation of Shenyang Chapter’s members firstly visited the new energy centralized control centre and dispatching centre of SPIC.

Followed by the seminar on fifth floor, leaderships and colleagues from SPIC and colleagues from SPIC and National Energy Group Company Limited Meihekou Power Company exchanged ideas with members of Shenyang Chapter around several topics such as power market situation in Liaoning, green energy transactions in 2023, developments in green power initiatives such as green certificates and virtual power plants, as well as discussions on energy-related challenges faced by enterprises.

The seminar ended up with great appreciation by participants for the valuable insights they gained through discussions and exchanges that provided them with guidance and references to their business operations as well as deeper understandings of future trend of power market and available access to new sets of power management options and therefore, helped them in early planning for power optimization such as adjusting production activities to a period of time when electricity consumption reaches its trough while shortening working hours in peaks.
