Nanjing, November 23, 2023 - The European Chamber 10th Anniversary of Corporate Social Responsibility Awards was successfully held. The event aims to share corporate social responsibility practice experience, exchange ways of corporate social responsibility innovation and commend outstanding enterprises for their outstanding contributions in the field of social responsibility in order to jointly promote the development of the field of corporate social responsibility and sustainable concept in China.
The European Union Chamber of Commerce in China has always been committed to promoting the values of corporate social responsibility. Its CSR Forum has been successfully operating for more than a decade and CSR Awards have entered its tenth year. The awards actively promote the best practices from the European Union in this field, emphasizing a strategic and innovative approach to corporate social responsibility, with different awards for multinational enterprises, SMEs and NGOs.
Dr. Andreas Risch, Chair of the Nanjing Chapter of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China, delivered a warm welcome speech to kick off the whole celebration. Mr. Jens Eskelund, President of the European Chamber of Commerce in China, followed with an opening speech, stressing the importance of corporate social responsibility in the European business community and expressing appreciation for the achievements made by Nanjing Chapter in this field in the past ten years. Then, Mr. Brian Linden from Linden Centre and Ms. Claire Pearson, as a representative of CSR judges, shared their respective topics on rural revitalization and corporate social responsibility trends.
The event also recognizes partners who have contributed to the awards over the past decade. As one of the initiators of CSR awards, BASF-YPC was awarded the title of Vision Partner in recognition of the company's contribution to the European Chamber Corporate Social Responsibility Awards over the past decade.
After a sumptuous dinner, the winners of the 10th Corporate Social Responsibility Awards were honored. They have made impressive achievements in environmental protection, carbon neutrality, women's empowerment and rural revitalization, demonstrating their sense of social responsibility and innovation.
The event also held a creative painting competition for primary and secondary school students, which was actively participated by students from international schools in Nanjing and Shanghai and produced a total of six winners.
