European Chamber Hosts Successful Aviation-themed Parent-Child Activity

Pilots and airline stewardess have always been the idols of many young people. On March 31st, 2024, the European Chamber Shenyang Chapter (hereinafter referred to as "Shenyang Chapter") and the China Travel Service Head Office (Liaoning) Co., Ltd. jointly held an aviation-themed parent-child activity at the training department of a state-owned airline, bringing children a close-up experience of the civil aviation profession, as if they were soaring high in the sky.

After a brief opening ceremony, under the careful guidance of teachers from the Red Cross Society of the province, the children learned about the necessity of airborne emergencies and the common knowledge of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). After gaining a certain understanding of the correct first aid methods, the children participated in hands-on CPR exercises. Their serious and diligent attitude interpreted their deeper understanding of life and responsibility.

Following this was the highly anticipated session where the children got to experience dressing up as aviation professionals and exploring the A320 aircraft cabin. Under the guidance of professional etiquette instructors, the spirited young captains and beautiful and elegant young flight stewardess read and introduced the takeoff safety precautions in a methodical manner. They also experienced firsthand the aircraft structures such as the cabin, cabin door, and wing exit in a 1:1 aircraft door trainer made of full aviation materials. They learned about the oxygen masks, fire extinguishers, and other emergency escape tools on board and their usage. The children's excitement and curiosity were evident, occasionally accompanied by bursts of applause. Parents looked on with satisfaction, as if saying, "Even Xuan Fu could fear the younger generation, people should never underestimate the children and inexperienced."

At the end of the event, we awarded each child who participated in the activity with an aviation study certificate, marking a perfect conclusion to the parent-child experience activity.
