On the afternoon of 22nd June, 2024, the European Chamber Shenyang Chapter successfully hosted an Italy Sansilvestro Winery Tasting event at the Wine and Cigar Club on the second floor of the NH Hotel.

As the keynote speaker, Mr. Jerome Tafani, the Head of Asia-Pacific for the Italian Sartirano Wine Group, introduced the distribution of the Italian wine industry and the its rich heritage in the Piemonte region. He emphasized the long-standing traditions and the relentless pursuit of excellence at the Sansilvestro Winery.

After explaining the meticulous processes and craftsmanship behind Italian winemaking, Mr. Tafani detailed the basic principles of wine tasting, focusing on three dimensions: visual, olfactive, and gustative exams. He led the participants through a tasting of nine classic wines, including Piemonte D,O,C, Spumante Brut, Piemonte D.O.C. Chardonnay, Barolo D.o.c.g. and Piemonte D.O.C. Cortese Biologico. This allowed the attendees to fully appreciate the culture of Italian wine and the rustic elegance unique to Piemonte wines.
