Beijing, 20 November 2019 –Kempinski Hotel Beijing Lufthansa Center bid farewell to Her Royal Highness Princess Astrid of Belgium on 19 November 2019. The Princess led the largest trade delegation (of over 600 delegates) in Belgian history within China this year. The hotel organised the accommodation, meetings and conferences, the banquet and private meals for the royal family.

During the royal family’s five-day visit, the hotel organised 31various meetings, panel discussions and exhibitions, as well as a banquet and gala dinners, which the hotel’s European banquet team crafted with the royal family’s preferred Belgian Michelin-starred chef, Mazier Maxim, with an exquisite three-course culinary creation for the Brussels–Beijing Partnership 25th Anniversary Festive Luncheon.

Kempinski Hotel Beijing Lufthansa Center welcomed the Princess to the newly renovated Presidential Suite with 24-hour on-call butler service and presented her with the new Zimmerli x Kempinski brand cooperation tailor-made silk robe. Upon departure, Her Royal Highness Princess Astrid of Belgium appreciated Kempinski’s hospitality and professionalism by signing a handwritten personal note: ‘Thank you for your lovely and efficient hospitality.’
