On 6^th September, Mr Kang Zhenlin, vice mayor of Changsha, and Ms Yu Xiayuan, chair of Changsha Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) paid a visit to the European Chamber Beijing office. European Chamber Secretary General Adam Dunnett welcomed the delegation and introduced the European Chamber and current situation for European business in China. Representatives of member companies also introduced their businesses to Vice Mayor Kang and expressed their willingness to engage more with Changsha city. 

Ms Yu Xiayuan expressed appreciation for the Chamber’s efforts in promoting a fair business environment. She said she hoped that the close communication can be maintained to further understand foreign-invested enterprises’ (FIEs’) concerns and needs in order to provide better business services and environment. She also briefed the Chamber on the upcoming Boao Forum for the Second Conference of the Global Economic Development and Security Forum and FIEs’ Changsha tour on 29^th–31^st October 2023, and invited Chamber member companies to join. Both sides agreed to maintain close communication and cooperation in the future.
