About Automotive Roundtable Series
To maximize the interest of working group members, the Automotive Working Group is launching a new event initiative “Automotive Roundtable Series” in partnership with G-I-Event in 2015. This initiative is created to supplement regular working group meetings and further strengthen the programming of working group portfolios.
The “Automotive Roundtable Series” features a number of selected roundtable events, which aims to connect the industry, exchange ideas and discuss business opportunities and challenges in China. The Roundtables are conveniently held outside the chamber and coordinated primarily by G-I-Events. As the Strategic Partner to G-I-Events, chamber members will enjoy reserved speaking slots for presentation and panel discussion for the selected roundtables.

As China grows to the world's largest vehicle market, the annual sales of new vehicles are increasing. In the meantime the demand of used cars is increasing as well. However due to many influential factors including governmental regulations, tax policy, consumer behavior, trade practices and so on, China’s used car market has not yet reached its optimum.
With major manufacturers got involved in this market, establishing market standards and eroding constraints, the Used Car Market in China could grow rapidly by 2020.
The July Automotive Roundtable provides the platform to discuss the current Used Car Market in China, leading initiatives of OEM’s as well as prospects and challenges.

By Mr. Christian Schröter, Director of Used Car, Beijing Mercedes-Benz Sales Service Co., Ltd.
Mr. Christian Schröter joined Daimler in China in 2002 and was deployed to Beijing Jeep as Head of Retail Network Development &Training for Chrysler, Jeep & Mitsubishi. In 2005 he took over the same function for the newly set-up Mercedes-Benz wholesale organisation. From 2010 to 2013 he was Head of Region North.
Since 2013 Mr. Schröter is in charge for Mercedes-Benz used car business development in China.

Mr. Xie joined Cheyipai.com in January 2015. He is currently overseeing the company’s corporate strategy, B2B business, used car inspection technology center, as well as corporate functions including BI and HR. Before that, Mr. Xie worked for McKinsey & Company for nearly 8 years, with rich management consulting experience in corporate strategy, organization development, and operation transformation in multiple industries. Mr. Xie holds a MBA degree from the Wharton School at the Univ. of Pennsylvania, U.S.

Moderator: Mr. Tobias Hoffmeister, Director, Accenture China
Tobias Hoffmeister is a director with Accenture Shanghai and responsible for Accenture’s German automotive clients in China. After having studied in Oxford, Madrid, Paris and Berlin, Tobias has spent the past 10 years in automotive strategy consulting, working globally on a large variety of automotive projects, including many after sales and new mobility related topics. Due to his leasing and used car expertise, Tobias is part of Accenture’s sales and after sales practice. Prior to joining Accenture Tobias was managing partner of an international automotive consulting firm in China and founded start-up companies in France, Germany and the U.K.

Mr. Bertram Kunze, Chief Operations Officer, Chengxin Used Car Operation and Management Co., Ltd.
Mr. Kunze joined Opel/GM in 1995. After several years as sales and dealer business development manager he has been in charge of several marketing and fleet sales functions at Opel headquarter in Ruesselheim for European and German Opel organization.
Since 2013 Mr. Kunze joined GM China in Shanghai and he is overseeing GM interests in the used car joint venture as well he is supporting SGM organization to develop and implement used car business strategy for Chevrolet, Buick and Cadillac.
Mr. Gao Feng, General Manager, China & HongKong, Red Book Automotive Data Services (Beijing) Limited
Mr. Gao Feng joined RedBook in 2012 as the General Manager of China & HK operation. From 1993 to 2000, Gao Feng worked in CAA/China Automobile Association as a co-founder then transferred to Insurance Australia Group as General Manager of Road Service for over 10 years. Gao Feng has rich experience and deep insight from auto industry, also holds the Auto engineering bachelor degree and an EMBA from Ren Min University.
