As part of the One Belt One Road Initiative, Yiwu-Madrid Freight Railway was launched in November 2014. After more than one year of operation, it now has been serving as an alternative route to the Maritime Silk Road, revitalizing the ancient Silk Road. Mr. Xiong Tao, Vice Mayor of Yiwu City, Mr. Feng Xubin, the CEO of Timex Industrial Investment and Mr. Dawid Pozniak, will introduce the significance of the freight railway to the region and within the One Belt One Road Initiative from both strategic and operational perspectives.
