On January 17, the China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA) and the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) jointly issued a Circular on Pilot Measures Concerning the Record-filing of Non-special-purpose Cosmetic Imports in Shanghai’s Pudong New Area (see circular in Chinese). The pilot measures will be valid from March 1, 2017 to December 21, 2018.

The Joint Declaration on the EU-China Partnership on Urbanisation signed by leaders of the European Union and P.R China in 2012 opened a new chapter of EU-China urbanisation cooperation. In addition, 2022 will witness another major event: The Winter Olympic Games in Beijing & Zhangjiakou (张家口). As 2017 marks the fifth anniversary of the EU-China Partnership on Urbanisation and the initiative of upcoming construction projects in Zhangjiakou, the chamber will invite representatives from the EU-China Industrial and Commercial Investment Promotion Union (ECIPU) of MOFCOM to introduce relevant ongoing and future projects in Zhangjiakou and have a roundtable discussion on business opportunities for our member companies.
