The 13th National People's Congress (NPC) and the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) had their first annual sessions on March 5 and 3, 2018. A series of meetings called "Two Sessions" (两会 líang huì) in Beijing to approve new policies and amendments and confirm leadership positions.
