The next IPR Working Group meeting is scheduled on Tuesday 14th March in Beijing, Shanghai & South China where we will hold the 2017-2018 IPR Working Group Chairs elections. Next to that, we will also be kicking off the 2017/18 IPR Position Paper (PP) discussion. Therefore we strongly encourage you all to attend this meeting and have your say in our lobbying priorities, strategy and direction of the group for the year to come.

Following the gesture made by President Xi at the World Economic Forum in Davos in January in further opening up and boosting foreign investment in China, the State Council issued the Notice on Several Measures on Promoting Further Openness and Active Utilization of Foreign Investment on 17 January, 2017. To offer a comprehensive perspective on the opportunities and challenges for the environmental protection and energy conservation sectors in the coming years, the chamber will invite representatives from ECIPU of MOFCOM to introduce government-level projects and have a roundtable discussion regarding the regulatory environment with our members in these sectors.
