At the moment it is hard to focus on anything other than the US elections, given the powerful geopolitical implications the results will bring. A Biden win would likely mean an increase in democratic left-wing influence in US politics, possibly a revival of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), and an EU-US coordinated approach towards China, amongst numerous other possibilities. A Trump win would likely mean the status quo, aside from uncertainty and hundreds of tweets, further decoupling and deterioration of EU-US alliance.

The European Union Chamber of Commerce and the China Electric Power Planning & Engineering Institute will co-organise the first China-Europe Energy Technology Innovation Cooperation Forum in Beijing on 28 October 2020. It will be supported by the National Energy Administration of China.
