Joint Working Group Meeting on Talent Attraction and Retention for SMEs

On 23rd February, the European Commission published a proposal for a Directive on Sustainable Corporate Governance. The European Chamber has invited Ms Orsolya Csorba, Counsellor for Competition, Justice and Consumer Policy at the Delegation of the European Union to China to provide a debriefing on the Commission’s proposal. Ms Csorba will provide the debriefing onsite in Beijing on Thursday, 31st March from 10:00AM to 11:00AM. Members wishing to attend online will be provided a Zoom link.

On 23rd March 2022, China reported 2,667 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 2,469 new cases of asymptomatic infection. The new outbreak has again put China’s zero-COVID strategy to the test, and left European businesses in China facing a host of challenges – closed highways, increasing numbers of lockdowns in multiple locations, and supply chain disruptions, to name just a few.
