Manufacturing companies in China face specific cyber security risks. Advanced manufacturing, such as "Smart Manufacturing" or "Industry 4.0" is based on information systems and data flows, while the regulatory environment regarding cyber security is becoming increasingly complex. To prevent severe climate change, a further acceleration of the global transition to a low-carbon economy, with a global average temperature rise of less than 1.5°C/2°C above pre-industrial levels by 2100, will require an ambitious reduction target to ensure that the transition actions are consistent with those required by climate science.
In light of the latest climate science findings, companies need to increase their ambition to reduce emissions, set credible targets and plan paths for a 1.5C climate scenario, and improve their competitive edge in the transition to a low-carbon economy.

科学碳目标是由全球环境信息研究中心(CDP）、联合国全球契约 (UNGC)、世界资源研究所（WRI) 和世界自然基金会（WWF）共同发起的一项倡议。
