The Legal and Competition Working Group (WG) is delighted to invite you to the first working group meeting of 2021, which will take place on 3rd March, from 10:00 to 12:00. During this kick-off meeting, we will review the activities of the WG in 2020, and members are strongly encouraged to join the discussion and provide input on the WG’s 2021 advocacy and activity priorities, and Position Paper outline. With this occasion, the 2021 Legal and Competition Working Group Chair election will be held.

At this meeting, Ms Beibei Zhang, DS Avocats will present an overview of the Multi-layered Protection Scheme (MLPS) 2.0 and its current mandatory implementation status. She will also advise members on the security and operational requirements for MLPS on which they will be assessed and how foreign companies can ensure internal security and compliance. We will also hold 2021-2022 WG Chair Elections. The Chair and Vice Chairs play a crucial role in driving the Working Group, which includes a leadership role in the drafting of the WG Position Paper, communicating key messages to Chinese and European government authorities and steering Working Group meetings.
