We would like to invite you to attend the Compliance & Business Ethics Working Group online meeting on Wednesday, 4th March, 14:30 – 16:15 via conference call. This meeting will consist of three parts:

1. This WG meeting will include the Compliance Working Group 2020-2021 Chair elections. Only Compliance WG members who had their registration confirmed for this meeting will have the right to vote online, with one vote per company. Online voting instructions will be sent via email to individual attendees prior to the meeting.

2. Mr. Niall Cahill, VP and Head of Export Control at Siemens China will conduct a brief overview of the Draft Export Control Law. The Draft explicitly includes “deemed export” and reexport in its application scope and reinforces administration on end-users and end-use, meanwhile expanding investigatory power of export control authorities. If enacted, the Export Control Law may have significant implications on foreign enterprises, and thus is worth close attention.

3. A brainstorm session for the key recommendations for the 2020/2021 Compliance position paper that will be drafted this coming half year (for the 2019/2020 Compliance & Business Ethics position paper click here).
