Corporate venture capital (CVC) differs from independent venture capital (VC) in several ways when it comes to how it nurtures innovation in new firms and what metrics a CVC fund regards as important. At the European Chamber’s Corporate Venture Capital Conference 2019, managers of CVC funds, advisers and academics will talk about what makes a CVC unit successful, what deals these units are looking at in their respective sectors – information technology and life sciences, among others – and what they think about this sector’s potential in China.
