Appointment of new Secretary General at the European Chamber 

Beijing, 24th February, 2009. The European Union Chamber of Commerce in China is pleased to announce the appointment of Dirk Moens to the position of Secretary General. Dirk succeeds Marianne Friese in the position, and will officially take office on 1st March, 2009.

A native of Belgium, Dirk brings to the Chamber both his extensive experience of China’s business environment, where for the past six years he has been at the helm of a leading FMCG multinational, as well as a wealth of international management expertise.

Prior to joining the Chamber, the 52 year-old served as Chairman of InBev China overseeing Joint Venture partners and Government Relations, a role that brought him into close contact with key government officials on the local, provincial and national levels.

This key posting followed a long and distinguished career with InBev where he served in a number of senior management positions globally, including as a member of Executive Board of Management for InBev responsible for Asia Pacific. During his career he and his family have lived and worked in Africa, Europe, Latin America and Asia.

Based in China since 2002, Mr. Moens is already part of the Chamber family, having served on the Board of the European Chamber’s Shanghai Chapter for the past year.

中国欧盟商会任命新秘书长

北京，2009年2月24日。中国欧盟商会荣幸宣布任命丁凯（Dirk Moens）先生为商会的新一届秘书长。丁凯将接替原秘书长玛莉莲的工作，于今年3月1日起正式就职。

丁凯来自比利时，在过去的六年中执掌一家国际领先的快速消费品跨国公司。在商会工作中，他将充分运用自己对中国商业环境的全面了解以及丰富的国际管理专业经验。

现年52岁的丁凯在任职商会前曾担任英博啤酒集团亚太区总裁，主管合资企业和政府关系事务，与中央及地方各级政府官员都有密切联系。

在担任英博亚太区总裁之前，他曾先后任职英博全球的多个高层管理职位，其中包括负责亚太地区的英博董事会成员。在他的职业生涯中，他和家人曾先后在非洲、欧洲、拉丁美洲和亚洲工作生活过。

自2002年来华工作至今，丁凯一直参与商会工作，在过去的一年里就任上海分会理事会成员。

中国欧盟商会主席伍德克评论道：“丁凯拥有20多年卓越的国际管理经验，这足以证明他的能力。我很高兴商会能受益于他的丰富经验。”
