Dear Working Group Members,
The European Chamber is delighted to invite you to join the next Auto components Working Group Meeting and Chair Election online with the topic of discussion - TISAX: General Information Security Assessment for German Auto Industry at 10.00-11.30am, 21st February 2020.
TISAX(Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange) is VDA's mandatory information security requirement for all German automotive manufacturers and suppliers since 2019. It is a necessary prerequisite for generating purchase orders, general cooperation, new vendor registration, and supplier qualification renewal. TISAX is a security assurance requirement for the automotive supply chain based on the VDA TISAX assessment standard and audit procedure. It is similar to ISO/IEC 27001,27002 but is more auto-industry specific. Key auto-specific categories are included, such as prototype protection, 3rd party data sharing, and data protection.
As a TISAX auditor, KPMG has conducted the largest number of TISAX audits globally, including multinational and domestic companies within China. TISAX can enhance enterprise-level cybersecurity governance and management, providing meaningful protection and standardization to promote the further healthy development of the automotive ecosystem. Specifically, TISAX can help avoid data breaches, theft of intellectual property, and broader system and data vulnerability.
During the meeting, Mr. Frank Wu, a cyber compliance expert from KPMG Advisory China, will share an overview of TISAX and its development history, the core controls of TISAX, the typical TISAX cases, and the TISAX audit methodology.
This event is of particular interest to those who work in domestic or multinational German Auto related suppliers, and are tasked with cybersecurity, product development, purchasing or sales, customer relationship management, quality control, or research and development.
Following the call for candidates, the Auto components Working Group is pleased to announce the members who have put their names forward for the 2020 Chair elections.
