This event consists of China - Europe Cooperation on Sustainable Innovation and Development Seminar, “Mannheim [Rhein-Neckar] – Chongqing Center” Opening Ceremony and 2021 Europe Day Celebration. To fully leverage the advantages of Chongqing and Liangjiang New Area in the cooperation between cities and regions in China and Europe, Chongqing Liangjiang New Area, International Urban and Regional Cooperation and European Union Chamber of Commerce in China will jointly hold a series of events in Sino-Swiss (Chongqing Liangjiang) TechnoPark on 21st May, 2021. The event consists of China - Europe Cooperation on Sustainable Innovation and Development Seminar, “Mannheim [Rhein-Neckar] – Chongqing Center” Opening Ceremony and 2021 Europe Day Celebration. It’s good opportunity to explore more development opportunities together.

Focusing on a series of topics such as "carbon neutrality" and post-epidemic era, this event will discuss the topic on innovative research and the sustainable development of Central Europe and cities. We will start substantive cooperation in the field of scientific and technological innovation, sign a cooperation agreement on Mannheim [Rhine-Neka]-Chongqing Innovation Research and Development Platform and the International Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. and announce a series of specific measures for in-depth cooperation between the two cities, involving trade exchanges, investment cooperation, culture and education, innovation cooperation and other aspects. After more than half a year's preparation, Mannheim (Rhine-Neckar)-Chongqing Center will be officially listed in both places, and Liangjiang New District and Mannheim will also conduct inter-regional mutual promotion events. People in Germany and other European cities can watch the grand occasion of this event online and in real time.

In the future, Mannheim (Rhine-Neka)-Chongqing Center will further strengthen cooperation in trade, investment, technology and other fields between Sino-Swiss (Chongqing Liangjiang) TechnoPark and European countries and regions, providing convenience for Chinese and European enterprises to carry out in-depth cooperation in brand management, market expansion, technology transfer transactions, project development etc.

Europe Day is one of the most important events. Annually on the Europe Day, a variety of influential figures are invited to attend this most significant, grand and business-layered celebration organized by the chamber, including the Consul Generals of the major foreign consulates in the region, along with senior-level representatives from EUCCC member companies, public authorities, transnational corporations, financial sectors, legal consultancies, cultural and art sectors, public media, overseas returnees, and other celebrities of Chongqing.

本次活动由中欧城市与区域合作创新及可持续合作研讨会、“曼海姆[莱茵-内卡]-重庆中心”挂牌仪式系列活动、2021欧洲日庆典三部分组成。

为了更好地发挥重庆及两江新区在中欧城市与区域间合作的作用，2021年5月21日，重庆市两江新区，国际城市与区域合作和中国欧盟商会将在中瑞（重庆两江）产业园联合举办为“中欧城市与区域合作创新及可持续合作研讨会”暨“曼海姆[莱茵-内卡]-重庆中心挂牌”的系列活动，共同寄语国际双城合作交流发展。本次活动围绕“碳中和”及后疫情时代等一系列议题，进行中欧区域及城市可持续化发展进行创新研究讨论。中瑞（重庆两江）产业园运营方重庆分享志禾企业有限公司将与德国“没问题”咨询公司在科技创新合作领域启动实质性的合作，共同签署曼海姆[莱茵-内卡]-重庆创新研发平台及国际创新创业大赛合作协议，并宣布一系列针对两座城市间深度合作的具体举措，涉及双方商贸往来、投资合作、文化教育以及创新合作等各个方面。与此同时，经过半年多的筹备，曼海姆（莱茵—内卡）—重庆中心将在两地正式挂牌，两江新区与曼海姆也会进行区域间的互荐活动，德国及欧洲其他城市的观众均可在线实时观看此次活动的盛况。未来，曼海姆（莱茵—内卡）—重庆中心将进一步加强中瑞（重庆两江）产业园与欧洲各国家和地区间的贸易、投资、技术等领域合作，为中欧企业在品牌经营、市场拓展、技术转移交易、项目开发等方面开展深入合作提供便利。

Members of the Advisory Council may receive complimentary admission to Chamber seminars, conferences and factory visits up to two attendees per event.
