The sixth episode of the Interpreting the EU's Toolbox series will focus on the Forced Labour Regulation, which will likely be adopted in the coming months. The regulation will enable the EU authorities to investigate goods, supply chains, and manufacturers with suspected links to forced labour. Products made with forced labour will be banned from the EU’s internal market and intercepted at the EU’s borders. On Tuesday, 22nd October at 16:00, representatives from the European Commission will provide an overview of the Forced Labour Regulation. A representative of the International Labour Organization will then present its overall framework (conventions, standards and guidelines) pertaining to forced labour. Finally, Stuart Newman, Senior Advocacy & Engagement Advisor at amfori, will share best practices for companies on how to tackle forced labour across their supply chains.
