The Corporate Social Credit System (SCS) is quietly changing the working of the Chinese economy. While the worldwide outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) has impacted many areas of the business community operating in China, in particular SMEs, the CSCS is still working and expanding its areas of influence. The difficulties in the resumption of work and failure the consecutive failure to provide as promised could post unknown consequences in the business SCS record. In this regard, the SCS could be an ally or a threat for SMEs, depending on the correct understanding of this influential tool.

Dear CSR Shanghai Community Members,

You are coordinately invited to join the CSR Forum’s second COVID-19 Sharing Session.

Ginkgo fellows, are the social community across China, who supported Ginkgo Foundation to successfully conduct the joint first-aid support in Hubei province since the breakout of COVID-19. One of the projects, is about sending oxygen to Hubei province by providing 2,321 oxygen generators to hospitals and home patients to save their lives. With another project is about providing on-line medical assistance support and transfer service to pregnant women in needs in Wuhan city. There has been 17 COVID-19 relief projects like the above that was conducted during the epidemic situation in Hubei province by the Ginkgo fellows.

Since the speaker, as one of the Ginkgo fellow, has learned a lot from her participation in the epidemic relief projects, we think it will be even more useful to share their first-hand experiences to other countries through our platform and members, to those who are now also facing the challenge. We hope our knowledge and experience could be spread to more European companies and stakeholders.
