In February 2020, SCoHURD released the Implementing Measures for Administration of Construction Decoration Repairing Projects《上海市建筑装饰装修工程管理实施办法》(“the Measures”) amid the government’s further implementation of streamlined administration and optimising business environment in Shanghai. The Measures became effective from March 1st, dividing decoration works into general and special categories according to relevant standards and implementing differentiated supervision and approval mechanisms.
Classified supervision is without question a welcome move by the industry. To better understand the Implementing Measures and guide companies to properly follow the policy in making business plans, construction deployment and so on, the Chamber has invited relevant officials from SCoHURD to have a meeting with members, so they can better explain the rules and answer possible questions.
